What we do...

From the moment you join one of our Squadrons you will become a member of a national organisation of young people taking part in adventurous and exciting activities on a regular basis. No matter what you’re in to, there will be something to suit you.

Academic Training

The classification system is open to all cadets and requires the study and examination of various subjects focussing on aviation, adventurous training and engineering. Completing of classification levels will result in the award of a badge and certificate. Classification awards also contribute towards BTEC vocational qualifications issued through CVQO.

Ranks

As we are sponsored by the Royal Air Force, the ATC has a disciplined approach and a command structure. Cadets can gain promotion (at the discretion of the OC and staff) and progress through the Cadet Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) ranks. Promotion depends on cadet commitment, maturity and contribution to squadron life.
